Introduction

I have 10 years’ clinical experience providing individual and couples therapy to adults. Every step we take has its mirror in the brain; in therapy you have a chance to re-write important parts of your story and support to move in new directions. I have extensive experience as a generalist mental health provider, working with anxiety, depression, major life changes, and relationship struggles. My clinical work has specialized in the LGBTQ+ community, and I am comfortable with diverse sexual, gender, and relationship presentations. I am also a board-approved LCSW supervisor and am available to provide clinical supervision.

My personal focus is trauma, both PTSD and long-term, chronic relational trauma. In the past 20 years we have learned so much about how the brain processes and fails to process negative experience; we can make this journey together, and we never stop growing.

I address both short-term changes to make things better quickly and long-term strategies to help your present match your vision. I draw from formal training in EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal process therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and Gottman method couples’ therapy. Finding the right therapist can be a challenge. Research has shown that it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the fit between therapist and client that most influence the success or failure of therapy. I encourage clients to speak to more than one therapist to find the best fit. I would be happy to talk with you on the phone about therapy and my approach or schedule an initial session.
